Zen: a home that feels

  • On the outskirts of Vilnius, in the nature-embraced Laurų Residences, a house built in harmony with the surrounding pine forest catches the eye with its glass, aluminium, and distinctive wood facades.

    Excerpt from Structum.lt:
The home’s aesthetic uniqueness is highlighted by its facade cladding – IPE (Brazilian walnut) wood supplied by Wood Line, mounted in a zigzag pattern that creates a dynamic play of volume and shadow.
For the facade of the house in Laurų Residences, 21 × 90 mm IPE wood boards were used. This wood is exceptional – not only highly durable but also admired for its natural beauty and unique grain. Each board has its own pattern, tone, and texture. Boards from different trees can look completely different: one black, another green, the next red – a whole palette of natural colours. IPE wood is especially resistant to decay and weathering and has proven its durability in many projects under Baltic climate conditions.
