Merbau decking is a popular choice for terraces—for good reason. It is durable, resistant, and, most importantly, beautiful. Its color ranges from pinkish to deep brown. Beyond its aesthetics, a key advantage of Merbau deck boards is their easy maintenance. The wood does not require labor-intensive care—regular oiling is sufficient to slow down weathering. Graying is a natural process when decking is exposed to sunlight. To minimize it, oil the boards twice a year; that way you can enjoy a rich terrace color for up to half a century.
