Adhesive 583.6 STP polymer adhesive for parquet laying KLEIBERIT
Code: KL583618-
KLEIBERIT 583.6 is a ready-to-use, one-component strong elastic adhesive for gluing parquet. Suitable for use on heated and unheated floors.\n\nKLEIBERIT 583.6 - ideal for cement screed, chipboard, and anhydrite screed. Also, suitable for surfaces, such as metal, concrete, stone, ceramics, etc. Before gluing on a non-standard substrate, we recommend performing a test gluing.\n\nApplication:\n
-
\n
- Interior work: installation of varnished, mosaic, solid and single-piece parquet, 2-layer and 3-layer parquet on normal absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces. \n
\nBenefits:\n
-
\n
- Emission class A+ (according to French VOC rules) \n
- Flexible and strong. \n
- Impact noise insulation. \n
- Easy to use. \n
- Contains no water or solvents. \n
- Low emission levels; \n
- Rapid adhesion. \n
- Water-resistant. \n
- Contains no isocyanates or silicone oil. \n
- Ideal for underfloor heating installations. \n
- Complies with DIN EN 14293 \n
\n\n\nTechnical data of KLEIBERIT 583.6:\n\nBase: STP - Silane Terminated Polymers\nDensity: ~1.8 g/cm3\nAvailable colours: beige\nConsistency: paste-like, spreads well and holds its shape\nBonding temperature: +15 °C ... +25 °C\nTime to film formation (open time): ~ 45- 60 minutes (depending on ambient humidity and temperature)\nSetting rate: at 20°C and 50% relative humidity: >3mm per day.\nFinal bond strength: after 48 hours\nShore A hardness: 68\n\nSurface:\n\nThe surface must comply with all norms and regulations. The surface must be dry, not cold, strong, well load-bearing, clean and dust-free.\nThe following standards and technical advice are particularly recommended: DIN 18356 Laying parquet floors, DIN EN Parquet and wooden floor, TKB Technical Briefing ‘Surface Preparation and Assessment For Laying Parquet and Floor Coverings’, TKB Technical Briefing ‘Laying Parquet’\n\nIf the levelling base layer is dust-free, KLEIBERIT 583.6 can be applied immediately without surface priming.\n\nBonding:\n\nRead the safety data sheets before bonding.\n

\n
- Apply the adhesive directly to the substrate using the appropriate toothed spatula. Lay the parquet on the freshly applied glue by pushing the board slightly and pressing it into place. Ensure good contact of the wrong side of the parquet with the adhesive. Installation time on applied adhesive is about 45-60 minutes. \n
- The best operating temperatures are between 15°C and 25°C. Walking is possible after 24 hours. The lower temperature of the adhesive and the environment increases the viscosity of the adhesive and slows down the curing process. The adhesive must be acclimatised. \n
- Apply as much glue as you can lay the floor in 30 minutes. Lay the parquet on fresh glue without waiting. Bonded parquet can be processed after 48 hours. \n
\n\n\nPlease note:\n
-
\n
- Fumed wood, such as fumed oak, must be ammonia-free. Wood with a high oil content, such as exotic woods, must be checked for suitability for gluing. \n
- The parquet must be acclimatised and have a humidity of 7%-11% . \n
\nPlease note the following parameters:\n
-
\n
- Maximum relative humidity: 65% \n
- Base temperature: +15°C - +25°C \n
- Minimum adhesive temperature: 15°C \n
\n\n\nRecommended adhesive application quantity:\n
-
\n
- Serrated spatula B3: 800 – 900 g/m2 \n
- Serrated spatula B11: 900 – 1200 g/m2 \n
\nCleaning:\n\nUncured adhesives from tools and parquet can be cleaned with a cleaner KLEIBERIT 820.0. Hardened adhesives can only be cleaned mechanically.
